The MPQ5850-AEC1 is an intelligent diode controller that can replace Schottky diodes to drive external N-channel MOSFETs, achieving reverse input protection. The device features an ultra-low voltage drop of 20mV, minimizing power consumption and enabling a lower minimum input voltage (VIN), making it ideal for automotive cold-crank conditions.
It boasts an ultra-low shutdown current of 4μA, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. Its ultra-fast transient response meets the stringent ISO16750 standard.
An integrated boost converter provides a boost voltage, enabling the external N-channel MOSFET to conduct even under low VIN conditions.
Its open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates whether the external N-channel MOSFET is fully conducting. It is available in a TSOT23-8 (2mmx3mm) package.
